Handmade Paper Beads

These paper beads are made by hand, so each one is unique.
They are delicate and surprisingly light.

Paper beads are coated with a clear protective sealant, but they are
still somewhat fragile. These beads should not be exposed to excessive moisture.
They should be stored carefully in a dry place where they will not be crushed.

Beads are sold by weight rather than the exact number of beads per package.
A .75-ounce package contains approximately 250 beads
A 1.5-ounce package contains approximately 500 beads.

Newsprint Beads
These whimsical beads are made from a variety of materials with printing on them. Real newsprint is not used, because it is simply to thin and fragile. These beads are made of recycled materials, such as magazine texts and “junk mail.”

Black and White Beads
These beads come in all shades of black, white, and gray. Some are solid shades, but most have some sort of pattern including those colors. Some patterns may include other colors as well, but the predominate colors are black, white, and gray.

Red and Pink Beads
These beads come in all shades of red and pink. Some are solid shades, but most have some sort of pattern incorporating those colors. Some patterns may include other colors as well, but the predominate colors are red and pink. Some may also be an orange-red or vermilion color.

Blue Beads
These beads come in all shades of blue, from pale blue to navy. Some are solid shades, but most have some sort of pattern incorporating the color blue. Some patterns may include other colors as well, but the predominate color is blue. Some may also be a purplish-blue or greenish-blue such as aqua or teal.
